XMG’s 15.3-inch aluminium ultrabook, the XMG EVO 15, follows the update of the EVO 14 and offers an even broader range of processors. These include four AMD CPUs from the Hawk, Kraken and Strix Point series, such as the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, as well as an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H with several features specific to Intel’s platform. Other key specifications include a 99.8 Wh battery, a 1600p display with 500 nits brightness, extensive connectivity, up to 16 TB of SSD storage, and up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM. The Intel-based version of the XMG EVO 15 additionally supports CSO DIMM memory with speeds of up to 6400 MT/s.
The XMG EVO 15 (E25, M25) is the latest addition to XMG’s ultrabook series, offering the most flexible configuration options to date. This new 15.3-inch laptop features an aluminium chassis, an enhanced cooling system, and a redesigned bottom shell. It measures 342 × 240 × 22 mm and weighs 1.75 kg.
Compared to the smaller EVO 14, the EVO 15 provides an even broader choice of processors, with both AMD and Intel configurations available. The XMG EVO 15 (E25) can be configured with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, Ryzen AI 9 365, Ryzen AI 7 350, or a Ryzen 7 H 255 without an NPU for accelerating AI workloads. The latter will also serve as the new entry-level CPU for the EVO 14, which is already available. The Intel-based XMG EVO 15 (M25), by contrast, comes with a Core Ultra 7 255H processor.
The EVO 15’s dual-fan cooling system includes two 70 mm diameter fans with 79 blades each, two rear air outlets with 130 copper cooling fins, and phase-change Honeywell PTM7958 thermal pads. Combined with the larger aluminium chassis compared to the EVO 14, this design enables both the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and the Core Ultra 7 255H to sustain 90 watts in the highest performance profile, ‘Overboost’.

500 Nits Bright 1600p Display with 100 Percent sRGB Colour Space Coverage
The XMG EVO 15 is equipped with a 15.3-inch IPS display in 16:10 format, offering a resolution of 2,560 × 1,600 pixels and a brightness of 500 nits. It covers 100 percent of the sRGB colour space and supports FreeSync (AMD) or Adaptive Sync (Intel). The panel has a refresh rate of 300 Hz, although this maximum is only available in the XMG EVO 15 (E25) with AMD processors. In the Intel-based EVO 15 (M25), the maximum refresh rate is limited to 240 Hz by the Arc Graphics iGPU.
The external ports are physically identical but differ in specification depending on the processor. All XMG EVO 15 models feature a Gigabit LAN port, HDMI, and a USB-C port with 140-watt Power Delivery (20 V, 7 A) on the rear of the chassis.
A closer look at the memory and connectivity features highlights platform-specific differences between the AMD and Intel versions. Both the EVO 15 (E25) and EVO 15 (M25) include two M.2 slots with PCI Express 4.0 for up to 16 TB of SSD storage, along with two SO-DIMM slots for up to 128 GB of RAM. The Intel-based EVO 15 (M25) additionally supports CSO DIMM modules with speeds of up to 6400 MT/s, alongside conventional DDR5-5600 SO-DIMMs.
USB-C (rear) | HDMI | |
Core Ultra 7 255 H | Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort 2.1 (DP80) | HDMI 2.0 (18 Gbps) |
Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 / 365, Ryzen AI 7 350, Ryzen 7 H 255 | USB4 with DisplayPort 2.1 (DP40) | HDMI 2.1 (32 Gbps) |
The side connectivity includes USB-C 3.2 Gen2 with DisplayPort 1.4a and 100-watt Power Delivery, three USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a 2-in-1 audio jack for headset and microphone, and a fast SD Express-compatible card reader for full-size SD cards. Wireless networking is supported up to Wi-Fi 7 (Intel) or Wi-Fi 6E (AMD), depending on the selected module.
The 99.8 Wh screw-fastened battery is charged exclusively via USB-C, either through the rear port with 140 W (20 V, 7 A) or alternatively via the left port with 100 W (20 V, 5 A). The 2025 EVO 15 uses the same compact 150-watt power supply as the EVO 14 (E25), measuring 113.5 × 64.5 × 23 mm and weighing 495 g including the EU plug.
Thanks to its edge-to-edge design, the keyboard of the 15.3-inch EVO 15 offers more functionality than the smaller EVO 14, including a four-row number pad, full-size arrow keys and dedicated navigation keys. It features multi-level white LED backlighting and is available in either ISO or ANSI layouts. The laptop also includes a Windows Precision-compatible glass touchpad measuring 123 × 77.5 mm.
