The first portable laptop water cooling

Radically innovative laptop liquid cooling for lower temperatures, quieter and faster operation: Available as an optional add-on, this version of the XMG OASIS (2023) is compatible with the XMG NEO series from model year 2023. 

While gaming laptops and mobile workstations have been limited in these areas due to their compact, mobile form factor and increasingly powerful components, the XMG OASIS provides a comprehensive and definitive solution. The space-saving liquid cooling minimises temperatures and noise levels whilst maximising continuous performance, is easy to set up and can be connected and disconnected even quicker than before, thanks to the new, magnetic and self-sealing connectors.

Stylish RGB stealth chassis

Compact, small, portable

The XMG OASIS (2023) integrates all the components of a liquid cooling system into a stylish, external chassis with a matt black stealth look. The unit includes a radiator, fan, pump and a reservoir. Those who want to add a touch of gaming dynamics to the simple and classic OASIS design can activate the integrated RGB LED lighting. Including the cooling liquid, the OASIS weighs just 1.3 kg. Thanks to its slim tower design, it takes up very little space on your desktop and is also easy to stow away in a backpack.

Greatly reduced noise 

Under load, the XMG OASIS (2023) transforms the compatible models into the quietest high-end gaming laptops in the world. Connecting the optional liquid cooling reduces the speed of the laptop fans to around 50 per cent of their maximum, even when the processor and graphics card are both running at full capacity; gaming or rendering on a laptop has never been so quiet!

A look at the temperature values shows just how potent the additional cooling resources are that the XMG OASIS (2023) unleashes. Under full load, not only does the noise level noticeably drop, but high-end processors like the Intel Core i9-13900HX and NVIDIA's fastest laptop graphics card, the GeForce RTX 4090, also run significantly cooler. Compared to operating exclusively with the laptop's conventional, yet already very powerful cooling system, the temperature values of the two key components drop by up to 15 °C depending on the application.

Performance to the max

The high performance of modern laptop components is based not least on ever higher power limits and sophisticated power management. The XMG OASIS (2023)  gives high-end GPUs such as an RTX 4090, with the maximum permissible gpu power of up to 175 watts, and Intel's Core i9-13900HX in the NEO series (E23) additional headroom in extreme scenarios: With simultaneous maximum utilisation of CPU and GPU, the processor in particular reaps the rewards from the additional cooling power – being able to maintain permanently higher boost clock rates on all 24 cores.

Intelligent fan control 

As a cornerstone for quiet operation under load, the XMG OASIS (2023) relies on intelligent fan control in several respects, not just its own speed control. After physically connecting the laptop to the OASIS and pairing together, the laptop automatically changes its fan curve profile. The fans then work significantly slower and quieter, as a large part of the waste heat from the CPU and GPU is dissipated via the external cooling system. If the system is idle, the OASIS switches itself off and only reactivates when the temperatures rise and the load increases.

Magnetic & secure

Among the highlights of the XMG OASIS (2023) are the improved liquid cooling connections – both the hose pair and the water port on the laptop are magnetised and self-sealing. This means they interlock snugly, securely and tightly, and seal themselves fully automatically after disconnection. The communication between the laptop and the OASIS for controlling the pump, fan and RGB lighting is via Bluetooth, while the power is supplied directly via the laptop power supply.

Unpack & get started

The XMG OASIS (2023) comes with everything you need to get started: Connect the tubes, fill with liquid and get started. Each OASIS comes with a practical filler funnel, drainage adapter and a one litre bottle of deionised, UV-irradiated distilled water. In addition to cleaning accessories for the connections, you will also find a set of dust caps for the HDMI and USB-C port.
