Accumulated brand power and high-quality components in the gaming laptop configurator

Anyone who wants to get the best out of virtual worlds these days needs powerful hardware. Investing in a high performance system pays off in several ways. On the one hand, you immediately get significantly higher FPS in games than your opponents and on the other hand, you have more performance reserves for future titles up your sleeve.

So you can use a high-end gaming laptop for much longer than a budget entry-level gaming laptop. Working closely with strong brand partners who provide us with the fastest components and support us in product evaluation is the cornerstone of the outstanding performance of our XMG gaming laptops.

Hardware manufacturers such as NVIDIA, Intel and AMD are justifiably market leaders in their respective segments. Consistently high product quality is the foundation of their success. So when you buy a gaming laptop from bestware, you get exactly what you deserve: powerful gaming performance that promises many years of enjoyment and reliability.

Processors with multiple cores and fast clock speeds, powerful graphics cards and high-performance RAM are paired with blazing-fast SSDs in our gaming laptops. All of this is integrated into a slim and modern design and makes the gaming laptops a real eye-catcher. Just put together your dream laptop in the bestware gaming laptop configurator.

The ultimate in processor power from Intel and AMD for the best mobile gaming experience

What is the best processor for laptops - an AMD or an Intel CPU? Opinions differ on this. The fact is: both have their definitive strengths and deliver plenty of performance in your gaming laptop. Intel has just introduced a new platform with its mobile 12th gen Core CPUs (Alder Lake). The Intel Core i7-12700H and Core i9-12900H are currently the fastest mobile processors in the world and offer incredible gaming performance.

In addition, they combine six performance and eight efficiency cores according to Intel's new big.LITTLE design. Thus, appropriately equipped gaming laptops feature 14 cores and 20 threads! With the Alder Lake generation, DDR5 memory is also coming to many laptops for the first time. But even the predecessor models utilising the popular Tiger Lake processors still provide a lot of power in gaming laptops and introduced PCI Express 4.0 for the first time to support the fastest M.2 SSDs.

AMD's current top models for gaming laptops are the Ryzen 7 5800H and the Ryzen 9 5900HX - each with eight cores, 16 threads and high Turbo Boost. We also offer you a choice of these processors in many notebooks. With the new Ryzen 6000 CPUs for laptops, a successor is also on the horizon for 2022. The first laptop tests and reviews will then show how strong AMD's new generation really is.

However, the sheer number of cores is not everything when it comes to gaming performance. Both AMD and Intel differentiate their notebook processors between the stronger, but also power-demanding H-series processors and the slower, but more efficient and easier to cool U-series processors. However, the sheer number of cores is not everything when it comes to gaming performance.

Both AMD and Intel differentiate their notebook processors between the stronger, but also power-demanding H-series processors and the slower, but more efficient and easier to cool U-series processors. Intel's Tiger Lake H35 fills an intermediate position, being a very good choice for home and office laptops, multimedia laptops or thin and light laptops. This also applies because it already comes with a compelling, integrated graphics solution in the form of Intel's Xe Graphics.

Raytracing graphics on the go - NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards for gaming laptops

The powerful NVIDIA Geforce RTX graphics cards we have installed provide you with the graphics power to play top titles such as GTA V, Call of Duty, God of War or Monster Hunter Rise at maximum graphics details settings.

NVIDIA has just introduced two new top models: The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 8 GB DDR6 VRAM. They are even faster than the already powerful RTX 3080 and 3070 without the "Ti" and provide more than enough power for VR gaming and 4K gaming with your notebook.

The GeForce RTX 3060 remains NVIDIA's high-end midrange for Full HD and WQHD gaming and also supports complex ray tracing effects. Price-conscious gamers who can do without ray tracing and do not play games with a display reasolution of more than 1920 x 1080 pixels can also reach for the smaller NVIDIA GeForce GTX models. The GeForce GTX 1650 or GeForce GTX 1650 Ti are used in low-priced gaming laptop offers and are a good alternative for Full HD gaming in terms of price-performance ratio.

Future-proof configuration options with DDR4 and DDR5 memory and M.2 SSDs

To get the most out of the fast processors and graphics cards, you can configure our gaming laptops with up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM. In some cases, such as the XMG ULTRA 17, even up to 128 GB RAM is possible in the laptop.

Most notebooks still use DDR4, but with the introduction of Intel's Alder Lake CPUs, DDR5 is gradually taking off. In our new top model among our gaming laptops, the XMG NEO 15 (E22) with optional external XMG OASIS laptop liquid cooling system, you'll find up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 SODIMM memory.

In 2022, your gaming laptop should have at least 16 GB RAM. For maximum performance and future-proofing, or if many programs are running alongside your games, you can go straight for 32 GB. However, 8 GB of RAM is hardly sufficient for playing demanding titles.

Mechanical hard disks are only used as external hard disks for data backup purposes in gaming laptops. Today, high-end laptops for gamers integrate an SSD (solid state drive) without exception. This not only speeds up the operating system, but also drastically reduces the loading times of your favourite games.

The current state of technology in notebooks is an M.2 SSD connected via PCIe 4.0 with four lanes - for maximum performance. Remember that many of the latest games can take up a lot of storage space during installation. 512 GB should be the absolute minimum, even in an inexpensive gaming notebook. It's better to go for an NVMe SSD with 1 TB or even 2 TB so that you don't have to worry about insufficient storage space later.

Smooth Full HD gaming, high-resolution WQHD gaming or 4K gaming on 15 or 17 inch displays

At bestware, we offer gaming laptops with screen sizes of 15.6 and 17.3 inches. We are also already working on a 16-inch laptop. The 15-inch laptops provide you with the optimum compromise between mobility, flexibility and gaming performance. However, if you're looking for a desktop replacement and rarely move the laptop, the 17-inch models might suit you better, as the larger screen is easier on the eyes.

We offer different resolutions and refresh rates in each display size class. Most of our gaming laptops use a high-quality, fast IPS panel. In some models, which are also intended for creative professionals, you can also opt for an OLED panel with 4K resolution.

Note: The higher the resolution of your screen, the faster your laptop graphics card should be. And even if you want to fully utilise the high refresh rate of a display with 240 Hz and more, a fast GPU is required. This makes your games look smoother than at only 60 Hz.  There is less interference, such as short-term blurring and inaccuracies in fast movements, which is a great advantage, especially for competitive gaming.

Currently, you have the following options when configuring your laptop, depending on the model:

  • Full HD displays (1920 x 1080) with up to 144 Hz, 240 Hz or even 300 Hz
  • WQHD displays (2560 x 1440) with up to 165 Hz or 240 Hz
  • 4K dipslays or UHD displays (3840 x 2160) with 60 Hz, which are currently particularly interesting in mobile workstation laptops for graphics and video editing

Tip: Configure your new gaming laptop now with the bestware laptop configurator. We have years of experience in the production of high-end laptops and offer you precise configuration options for the latest hardware for gaming laptops. Take advantage of our expertise and tailor your dream gaming laptop exactly to your needs.

More tips: How to find the perfect laptop for gaming and more

At this point we would like to give you a few basic tips, because not every gaming laptop is identical and not every gamer has the same requirements. When choosing the right laptop, you should also consider the following points.

If you travel a lot, you should buy a light and slim gaming laptop. Note, however, that these models offer less space for a powerful cooling solution and thus somewhat less performance than larger laptops - even if the installed components seem nominally identical.

If you are looking for a gaming laptop for VR (Virtual Reality), you will find a wide selection of VR-ready laptops on bestware. They are not only characterised by plenty of graphics power, but also work smoothly with current VR headsets with DisplayPort connection

If you are looking for an inexpensive gaming laptop for 1000 euros or less, you should pay attention to our discount promotions and offers: Here we often offer top-equipped models at heavily discounted prices - without compromising on performance and quality.

You can connect at least one and sometimes up to four external monitors to each of our gaming notebooks - just like a desktop PC. If you're planning to do this, take a look at the spec sheet before you buy and see if there are suitable connections such as HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C and Thunderbolt with DisplayPort stream.

With the right accessories, you can work and play on your laptop at home just like on a desktop PC: so when you buy a new one, it's best to include a gaming mouse, gaming keyboard and gaming headset in your budget.

Gaming laptops with NVIDIA graphics cards are the perfect choice for streaming, for example on Twitch or other portals. The NVIDIA NVENC encoder is built directly into the laptop GPUs and handles video processing during streaming to reduce the load on the CPU.

If you have a lot of creative tasks on the agenda in addition to gaming, a gaming notebook is a good choice as a laptop for photo editing or a laptop for video editing in terms of performance. However, in this case you should look for a high-resolution WQHD or 4K display with IPS or OLED technology. An sRGB colour space coverage of 95% or even 100% is also important.
