In the powerful SCHENKER COMPACT 17, the design principle "Form follows function" manifests itself like in hardly any other model. Because of this focus, the laptop emphasizes features such as very high computing power, support for the latest technologies, excellent cooling characteristics, and a broad range of external interfaces, rather than following the trend towards thinner and thinner devices with lower utility due to design.
The performance foundation is formed by a combination of mobile six-core processors from the current Core i7 series with advanced and high-performance NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, which are used in the SCHENKER COMPACT 17 in the performance-optimized Max-P design. This base pairs the model with up to 64 GB RAM and different configuration options for memory drives. These include not only two fast PCI Express SSDs in M.2 format, but also an additional 2.5-inch drive bay.
The SCHENKER COMPACT 17 also scores in the professional-productive environment with its versatile options for connecting external peripherals: In addition to four USB ports and a Thunderbolt 3 connection, the laptop also offers the option of parallel control of up to three additional monitors to significantly expand the display area for the simultaneous use and display of different programs. Separate jacks are available for the headphone output and microphone input, the latter also functions as an S/PDIF connector.
A bright Full HD display with a high-quality IPS panel ensures excellent picture quality. This enables not only a particularly high-contrast display, but also intensive colour reproduction. In addition, the 144 Hz refresh rate guarantees a particularly smooth display of moving content.
Intel's Core i7-8750H offers very high computing power, especially when running multiple applications simultaneously or in multithreading optimized software. This is ensured by six CPU cores with hyperthreading support. The SCHENKER COMPACT 17 is equipped with a cooling system that has been specially optimized in many areas and enables it to provide a permanently high clock frequency on both the CPU and GPU sides.
NVIDIA's latest graphics card models, the RTX 2070 and RTX 2060, are not only delivering the performance boost for classic 3D applications. Even software from the professional environment understands it increasingly better to accelerate computing operations significantly by using the GPU. Both graphics cards are installed in the performance-optimized Max-P design. Turing's pioneering technological innovations include Tensor Cores, real-time raytracing effects and Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), designed specifically for highly specialized AI calculations.
The SCHENKER COMPACT 17 does not only have slots for two fast and RAID-capable M.2 SSDs connected via PCI Express as well as a supplementary 2.5-inch storage drive. The laptop is also capable of addressing up to 64 GB of RAM. Even retrofitting projects do not present an obstacle: The inside of the laptop is easily accessible for the user and allows the exchange and upgrading of individual drives as well as the main memory.
The laptop's versatile ports include four fast USB ports, including a USB-C port, Thunderbolt 3, a Mini DisplayPort and an HDMI output. This makes it possible to operate up to three external monitors. The extensive interface selection also offers the option of directly connecting a virtual or augmented reality headset. Thanks to the powerful components built into the laptop, high-resolution content is always running smoothly and in the best graphics quality.
A precise pressure point and LED backlight with a choice of different colours make the keyboard a guarantee for accurate input. An additional number block increases working comfort. In addition, there is a stylish glass touchpad that not only accurately implements all movements, but also features a cleverly hidden fingerprint reader: The corresponding input area only lights up automatically when a finger scan is required.
