Schenker Technologies and DPVR enter into strategic sales partnership for DPVR E4 VR headset

Leipzig, Germany, September 7th 2023 – As part of a strategic partnership, Schenker Technologies is cooperating with the Chinese virtual reality pioneer DPVR and is offering the innovative DPVR E4 headset throughout Europe via its in-house e-commerce platform bestware.com. The collaboration enables DPVR to address a broader audience with the high-performance VR HMD. Schenker Technologies will also take on a key role in regional service and support.

Since 2015, DPVR has been one of the key innovators and market leaders for immersive VR technologies in China. The company's portfolio includes both standalone VR and wired PC VR headsets for various professional and consumer applications - from education and training, to simulation, gaming, and entertainment. With the new DPVR E4, the manufacturer recently unveiled one of the most important PC VR innovations of 2023 and is now consequently expanding its presence on the international market.

Advanced, SteamVR-compatible PC VR headset with high comfort

Weighing a mere 280 g (without headband), the DPVR E4 is one of the lightest VR headsets for PC VR applications and is extremely comfortable to wear even in continuous use. The compact design measures just 281 x 192 x 124.5 mm. A high-resolution display with 3,664 x 1,920 pixels (1,832 x 1,920 pixels per eye), Fresnel lenses, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 116-degree wide field of view deliver a razor-sharp, fluid and immersive VR experience. The connection via DisplayPort 1.4 allows for uncompressed, loss-free graphics transmission.

Four integrated cameras offer precise inside-out tracking with six degrees of freedom (6 DoF). Special comfort features of the DPVR E4 include a 90-degree flip-up display that enables spontaneous interaction with the real user environment, as well as software-based automatic adjustment of the interpupillary distance between 54 and 74 mm. Inputs are made via two 6-DoF controllers.

The DPVR E4 is already listed on bestware.com and available with immediate effect. The introductory discounted starting price is € 459.90 including 19% VAT until September 30th. From October 1st, the standard price of € 549,90 will come into effect.
