With the SCHENKER KEY 15, Schenker Technologies presents the new, slim definition of portable high performance for professional users. NVIDIA graphics cards from the updated GeForce RTX series and Intel's tenth-generation Core processors mark the cornerstones of a balanced slim-performance concept. Creative professional users will benefit from premium displays with high colour accuracy, including an impressive optional OLED panel with 4K resolution. Meanwhile, the laptop meets the requirements of a mobile all-rounder with a robust aluminium chassis and a large battery.
The performance of the SCHENKER KEY 15, which can be precisely configured for each individual case, makes the laptop the ideal working basis for implementing demanding multimedia projects on a professional scale. This is also reflected in the wide range of external interfaces, which makes it possible to do without a large number of cumbersome adapters: the laptop integrates all the necessary connections as standard.
Up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM guarantees the fastest possible access to project-related data records. In addition, the SCHENKER KEY 15 offers two RAID-capable M.2 SSD slots connected via PCI Express. Should additional storage space still be required, a Thunderbolt 3 connection provides the fastest data exchange with external drives currently available.
The input devices follow the conceptual specification of the highest possible functionality with maximum comfort at the same time. For example, the keyboard, which was developed for heavy-duty use, has a full-size layout including a separate number pad despite the notebook's compact dimensions. The clearly defined pressure point is complemented by LED backlighting, which makes the key lettering easier to read in dark environments and, if desired, allows individual colour selection. An elegant glass touchpad not only impresses with its elegant appearance, but also with its excellent sliding properties and precision. The webcam of the SCHENKER KEY 15 is located on the upper border of the thin bezel display and is therefore featuring an advantageous recording angle.
Intel's tenth generation of Core processors brings a further increase in performance with undiminished efficiency. The eight-core Core i7-10875H CPU was specially designed for use in high-performance mobile devices. Among other things, a further increased boost clock rate ensures a higher application performance. The processor is optimally equipped to deliver a high level of performance even in demanding applications. As a dedicated model for use in slim laptops, it has all the requirements for quiet and cool operation thanks to a TDP of only 45 watts.
The SCHENKER KEY 15's top-of-the-line version integrates the newly introduced NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER in the efficient Max-Q design, currently the most powerful 3D accelerator for thin notebook designs. This allows the laptop to unfold an impressive potential in GPU-accelerated applications in areas such as photo and video editing, rendering, 3D modeling and virtual reality.
With the refresh versions of the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q and the 2060, the other graphics card options of the SCHENKER KEY 15 also make use of the latest technologies and not only support real-time ray tracing and the revised Deep Learning Super Sampling 2.0 (DLSS 2.0), but also offer significant acceleration for computing processes in AI and machine learning projects via tensor cores. NVIDIA's new Dynamic Boost feature is capable of dynamically managing the internal power flow to the processor and graphics card: If the GPU requires a lot of power while the CPU is running at low load, the feature intervenes to provide higher performance on the graphics card side.
A sleek high-performance concept requires flexible, functional expansion options in order to develop its full potential in productive use. The SCHENKER KEY 15 comes with a large number of external interfaces to integrate seamlessly into any work environment - including a versatile Thunderbolt 3 port.
To control external monitors or other video devices, this port also provides a DisplayPort stream, plus a Mini DisplayPort and an HDMI output. In addition to a fast microSD card reader, the laptop has three USB ports, a Gigabit Ethernet connection and Wi-Fi 6 as a wireless alternative for network communication. The separate microphone jack also supports an optical S/PDIF signal.
A high-resolution 4K display with groundbreaking OLED technology impresses with optimal display characteristics at the latest state of technology. Benefits include a lightning-fast response time of less than 3 milliseconds, increased maximum brightness of circa 500 cd/m2 and 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 colour space coverage. As a result, it is the best possible basis for demanding, colour-accurate work. HDR10 support completes the features.
In addition, the SCHENKER KEY 15 is also available with a Full HD display with IPS panel. The high-quality entry-level model also features a high sRGB colour space coverage and is suitable for fatigue-free continuous use without reservation thanks to its excellent contrast, low black value and high viewing angle stability. Among other things, a refresh rate of 144 Hz contributes to this, which provides a particularly fluid presentation even in games.
Despite its decidedly performance-oriented character, the SCHENKER KEY 15 convinces with its excellent, mobile features. This is due to a high-quality, robust all-aluminium chassis with a weight of less than 2 kg and an overall height of less than 20 mm, as well as a 73 watt hour battery.
Even the power supply unit meets the special requirements of the portable concept in a special way: the 180 watt power supply is noticeably less bulky than comparable models in the same performance class and makes an additional contribution to keeping the transport weight of the entire package as low as possible.
