HP VR

HP is by far one of the most important and popular suppliers of VR gaming headsets. The reason for this is, among other things, the excellent price-performance ratio: HP's current Reverb G2 is not only inexpensive, but also offers first-class performance in relation to the price - not least thanks to the high display resolution, good sound quality of the built-in headphones and a wide field of vision.

HP VR headsets: price-performance winner for PC VR gaming

HP is a comparatively young player in the field of virtual reality headsets. After the presentation of the first Windows Mixed Reality headsets in 2017, the HP Reverb followed in 2019 and finally the big hit among VR headsets: the HP Reverb G2, which significantly improved on many points, was able to spark hype and help VR gaming headsets to become much more widespread than before. So is the market finally ready for VR as a mass phenomenon?

The HP Reverb G2 is currently the best PC VR headset for VR gaming in its price range. This is ensured not only by a high resolution of 2,160 x 2,160 pixels, but also a wide Field of View of 114° and a fast refresh rate of 90 Hz. In addition, the Reverb G2 has been designed as a pure PC VR headset to ensure optimum display quality. It requires mandatory connection to a powerful VR Ready laptop or gaming PC via a cable. Due to the purely wired mode of operation and the renunciation of wireless data transmission, no image compression is necessary, which can reduce the image quality. Thanks to inside-out tracking, the VR glasses work without an additional tracking station.
