XMG PRO 16: Update including Value Edition with RTX 5070 Ti, 5070 and 5060

The XMG PRO 16 Value Edition complements the standard XMG PRO 16 with entry-level configurations featuring an Intel Core i9-14900HX and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, 5070, or 5060. Other features, such as the 99.8 Wh battery, the comprehensive connectivity options, and the functional, full-size keyboard, remain unchanged. An improvement is the 1600p IPS display with a 300 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness, which now covers 100 percent of both the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces. The same panel is also used in the refreshed version of the regular XMG PRO 16; this laptop, positioned above the Value Edition, also offers a Mini-LED display as an optional upgrade.

XMG PRO 16 VE: Core i9-14900HX and choice of three RTX 50 series GPUs

With the XMG PRO 16 VE (M25), a value edition of the PRO series, XMG offers a new entry-level model of its 2025 gaming and multimedia workstation. Unlike the standard XMG PRO 16 with Intel's Core Ultra 9 275HX and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the more affordable, price-performance-focused Value Edition uses a Core i9-14900HX, also with 24 cores, and offers a choice of three laptop graphics cards – an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5070, or RTX 5060.

The 16-inch chassis remains identical: The PRO 16 VE also measures 356.7 x 252.5 x 26.5 mm, weighs 2.4 kg, and features high-quality construction, including an aluminum display lid. Equipped with a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the cooling system of the PRO 16 and PRO 16 VE is identical and has only been adapted for the configurations with the RTX 5070 and 5060 to account for the lower power consumption of these two GPUs. All available graphics cards operate continuously at their respective maximum power limits specified by NVIDIA. Including Dynamic Boost, the RTX 5070 Ti operates at 140 watts, while the RTX 5070 and 5060 operate at 115 watts.

Via the Control Center and the BIOS equipped with a recovery function, XMG provides the same tuning options as, for example, the NEO 16 – namely CPU undervolting, RAM tuning, or the ability to choose the power limits for CPU and GPU according to individual preferences, as well as to adjust the fan curves.

Bright 300Hz display, two M.2 SSDs and up to 96GB of RAM

The XMG PRO 16 VE features a 2560 x 1600 pixel IPS panel in a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 300 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, and 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The webcam, positioned at the top of the screen, offers Full HD resolution and includes a physical privacy shutter. Unlike the PRO 16 with the Core Ultra 9 275HX, both M.2 slots are connected via PCI Express 4.0, and up to 96 GB (2 x 48 GB) of DDR5 SODIMM RAM can be configured. Heat sinks and thermal pads improve component temperature management.

Numerous rear ports and an RGB keyboard with N-key rollover

The XMG PRO 16 VE features Mini DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 with DisplayPort 1.4a and 140W Power Delivery on the back. On the side, you'll find a second USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, also with DisplayPort 1.4a and 100W Power Delivery, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, a fast, SD Express-compatible card reader for full-size memory cards, and a 2-in-1 audio jack for headset and microphone. This comprehensive connectivity allows for the native connection of up to four external monitors to the laptop. Wireless networking is handled via Wi-Fi 7.

The keyboard is the same model used in the NEO 16 and the regular PRO 16: A full-fledged number pad, separate full-size arrow keys, RGB per-key backlighting, anti-ghosting and N-key rollover are also available for the Value Edition, as is the 123 x 77.5 mm glass-like Mylar touchpad with gliding properties equivalent to glass touchpads.

The XMG PRO 16 receives an optional upgrade to a mini-LED display.

With the introduction of the Value Edition, XMG is also updating the standard PRO 16, now rebranding it as the M25. The previous entry-level version with a Core i9-13900HX has been discontinued and completely replaced by the Value Edition, which features a Core i9-14900HX and additional graphics card options. The XMG PRO 16 (M25) is therefore only available with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, and offers additional features specific to this CPU platform. These include PCI Express 5.0 for the primary SSD and support for CSO DIMM RAM with speeds up to 6400 MT/s. The rear USB-C port is also implemented as Thunderbolt 4.

New features for the PRO 16 (M25) include an improved display as standard and an additional Mini-LED option. Alongside the 500-nit, 300 Hz IPS panel, which now covers 100 percent of both the sRGB and DCI-P3 color spaces, XMG offers an optional upgrade to the Mini-LED display already familiar from the NEO 16. This display also has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a 300 Hz refresh rate, but is brighter at 750 nits (SDR) and 1,000 nits (HDR) compared to the IPS option. It allows local dimming to be disabled, and the sRGB and DCI-P3 color space coverage is also full 100 percent.

XMG PRO 16 incl. Value Edition freely configurable and purchase

The basic equipment of the freely configurable [product/service] on bestware.com  It features an Intel Core i9-14900HX, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, 16 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, a 1 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD, and a 300 Hz, 500 nit bright 1600p IPS display. The starting price is €1,549 (including 19% VAT). An upgrade to an RTX 5070 (€195) or RTX 5070 Ti (€520) is available for an additional fee.

In contrast, the  The base model features an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, a 1 TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus SSD, and a 300 Hz 1600p IPS display for €2,349. Upgrades such as a 1000 nit Mini-LED display (€175), CSO DIMM RAM with 6400 MT/s, or a PCIe 5.0 SSD are also available for an additional charge.

Both the XMG PRO 16 VE (M25) and the XMG PRO 16 (M25) are available for pre-order now, with delivery expected from the end of August.
