SCHENKER ELEMENT 16: 16-inch Laptop with Intel Core Ultra 300 CPUs, Sustainably Manufactured Chassis, and Two Thunderbolt Ports

Schenker Technologies has launched the SCHENKER ELEMENT 16, a 16-inch office and multimedia laptop powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H or Core Ultra 5 325 processor. In addition to its bright 1600p display, the notebook offers versatile connectivity including two Thunderbolt 4 ports and stands out with its high level of serviceability and a chassis made partially from recycled materials. First unveiled as a prototype at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the ELEMENT 16 is now available in its final version. It is the result of a collaboration between Intel, Pegatron, and Schenker Technologies.
SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 with Intel Core Ultra 7 356H or Core Ultra 5 325
The SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 (E26) is available in a range of configurations. The options available through the company's online shop, bestware.com, include an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H with 16 cores (4 P-cores, 8 E-cores and 4 LPE-cores) and a Core Ultra 5 325 with 8 cores (4 P-cores and 4 E-cores). Both processors feature Intel Graphics with four Xe cores and an integrated NPU for accelerating local AI applications, with NPU performance of up to 50 and 47 TOPS, respectively.
A dual-fan cooling system with rear air vents enables the Core Ultra 7 356H to maintain a stable power draw of up to 50 watts under continuous full load, while up to 65 watts are available for short-term load peaks.
The ELEMENT 16 also features a PCI Express 5.0-compatible M.2 slot for high-speed SSDs and supports up to 72 GB of DDR5 RAM. The laptop includes 8 GB of DDR5-5600 memory soldered to the motherboard, but an SO-DIMM slot allows for up to 64 GB of additional DDR5-5600 RAM, enabling up to 16 GB to operate in dual-channel mode. The BIOS also includes an option to disable the soldered memory module for diagnostic purposes.
Maintenance-friendly chassis made from sustainable recycled materials
The display lid and top shell of the ELEMENT 16 are made of aluminium, while the display frame and bottom shell use plastic. SCHENKER places a strong focus on recycled materials: 50 per cent of the aluminium and 30 per cent of the plastic used in the chassis come from recycled sources. The laptop measures 359.8 x 257 x 19.9 mm, weighs 1.9 kg and is certified to MIL-STD-810H.
Several design features make maintenance particularly straightforward. The bottom cover uses a tool-free quick-release mechanism, providing easy access to the SSD, SO-DIMM memory and cooling system for upgrades and cleaning. The 72 Wh battery is screwed in place and can therefore be replaced. When the bottom cover is opened, the battery is automatically disconnected from the motherboard, preventing power from reaching the system and reducing the risk of accidental short circuits during maintenance or DIY upgrades. Under the specified test conditions - 150 nits display brightness and power-saving mode - the battery lasts for approximately 12 hours when streaming video and around 11 hours when using office applications.
Several additional design choices are primarily relevant for servicing rather than everyday use. The touchpad is secured with screws instead of adhesive, making it easier to replace if necessary, while the keyboard can also be replaced. The ribbon cables connecting the motherboard to the I/O boards for the laptop's side-mounted ports are secured with screws rather than simply plugged in. SCHENKER is currently working on alternative connectivity modules that could provide different port configurations from the standard version, but this project is still in development.
1600p display with 400 nits of brightness and a 180-degree hinge
The 16-inch IPS display features a matte surface, a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 400 nits of brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate. With 100% sRGB colour space coverage, the ELEMENT 16 is well suited to multimedia applications, including photo and image editing. Thanks to its 180-degree hinge, the display can also be folded completely flat, making the laptop ideal for presentations and collaborative work.
Modern connectivity with two Thunderbolt 4 ports and Wi-Fi 7
The SCHENKER ELEMENT 16 offers extensive connectivity, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports, each with integrated DP80-compatible DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery of up to 100 watts. Depending on the selected processor, SCHENKER supplies the laptop with either a 100-watt USB-C power adapter for the Core Ultra 7 or a 65-watt model for the Core Ultra 5.
Additional connectivity includes an HDMI 2.1 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a microSD card reader and a 2-in-1 audio jack for headphones and a microphone. Labels above the ports make it easier to quickly identify the desired connection. Wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 7. For video calls, the ELEMENT 16 features a Windows Hello-compatible Full HD webcam with a physical privacy cover. For additional security and control, the BIOS allows the camera, microphone, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SSD and the laptop's side-mounted ports to be disabled.
The keyboard is available in around 30 country-specific layouts, including both ANSI and ISO variants. It features a dedicated numeric keypad, and an Fn-Lock function for switching the F-keys to their secondary functions. The four-level adjustable white backlight provides additional flexibility. The 131 x 85 mm glass touchpad is Microsoft Precision-compliant and features automatic palm detection to prevent accidental inputs.
